Preschool

Our morning preschool at Sunshine Kids starts off with free play and table time, a perfect way to get the children warmed up for a morning of learning and play! We have a structured circle time, where we start with a welcome song, the calendar, Walter our weatherman, story time and more. Then we have snack, and lots of outside time! When we come back inside, we work on our learning journals and art, and end with a closing circle time, filled with music and movement.

 

We have a Letter of the Week and a theme that we focus on each week. We also use ZooPhonics to encourage letter sounds and pre-reading skills. An animal from ZooPhonics takes the stage each week, and we learn about that animal as well. Every week at Sunshine Kids is filled with art, music, cooking, dramatic play, and lots of outside time!

We love to celebrate all the things- holidays, birthdays, and each of our special students! At some point during the school year, each student will be a Sunshine Kid of the Week, where they will be spotlighted and get to share their favorite things.

Our school is a place of acceptance and friendship, and it is our highest priority to provide a loving and nurturing environment for your child to play, learn and grow in this important stage of their life!

 

We do not require your child to be potty trained.

​

We follow the Buckeye Union School District calendar for our start and ends dates, as well as holidays.
